A serious traffic accident brought Interstate 290 to a standstill near Independence Boulevard on Sunday after a vehicle overturned, resulting in multiple casualties and significant traffic disruptions.
According to preliminary reports, a car traveling on I-290 flipped over near the Independence Boulevard exit. Four people were ejected from the vehicle during the crash. Emergency medical services responded quickly and performed life-saving measures at the scene.
Authorities confirmed that two individuals were pronounced dead at the scene. The condition of the remaining victims has not been released.
